Congratulations to the Metacomet Students of the Month for February!
The Metacomet Travel choir performed at Seabury Retirement Community on February 9th 2024.
The singers performed their favorite playground songs including "Miss Mary Mack", "Little Sally Walker", "Down By The Bay" and "Blue Bird" as well as a few international hand clapping game songs from Ghana, Zimbabwe and Mexico. The highlight of the performance came when the choir challenged the audience to sing along to "When the Saints go Marching in" as the choir sang "Swing Low Sweet Chariot" in beautiful partner song harmony. The encore song was of course, "The Bloomfield Blues" The Metacomet school song, which got the audience on their feet for a standing ovation! This was wonderful experience that the students and community members look forward to repeating for years to come.

Registration is now open for young boys & girls ages 3-14 for Spring Recreational Soccer 2024. Season starts on 4/23/24 and ends on 6/8/24. Practice days are Tuesdays at 5:30-6:30 & Thursdays at 6:30-7:30. Games are on Saturdays 10:00-12:00. All games and practices are held at Bloomfield Leisure Service Fields on 330 Park Avenue. Registration is $90 for new players/$80 for returning players, $105 for registrations after 4/14/24. Multi child registration discount rates available. Sign up for at BJSACT.ORG
