BPL has a fun, relaxed event tomorrow night (Friday, Oct. 3) at Auerfarm. In celebration of International Observe the Moon Night, we’ll be doing a moon viewing party at Auerfarm! I have several members of the Astronomical Society of Greater Hartford coming with various kinds of telescopes. They’ll also be happy to answer some basic questions about the moon and what we’re viewing. There are no chairs, so I do encourage families to bring lawn chairs if they want to sit and relax. I plan to bring my own binoculars (which do a pretty good job of getting a close look at the moon’s surface). It’s a fun, family-friendly event for a Fall Friday

Our students will participate in the "Star Lab" Planetarium Program and learn about space. We look forward to this experience. Have a great evening.

Saint Mary’s Hospital, Trinity Health Of New England, is proud to host the Second Annual Black Men In White Coats Youth Summit in Waterbury, CT on Saturday, November 8, 2025. This transformative event is held in partnership with the national Black Men In White Coats organization, which is designed to ignite a passion for careers in health care through mentorship, networking and leadership among youth.

Good afternoon, parents and guardians. We will begin testing our students in reading and math starting on Monday, September 8, 2025. We are using iReady and m-Class Dibbles to test.
